Unless it is recycled, all waste in India, is either sent to landfills or burnt in open piles.
We’ve heard of the hazards of both these methods of waste management. One releases micro-particles of plastic into the soil, ocean and food chain. The other emits toxic fumes into the atmosphere.
So, is there really a good way of dealing with all that plastic we’re throwing away?
